Subject: Fifteen Students surpass the Qualifying Marks at the Grade Five Scholarship Examination 2014

Dear Friends,
 
Twelve Student from the Sinhala and three students from the Tamil medium of St. Benedict’s College, successfully passed the Grade Five Scholarship Examination 2014. The qualify marks in the Colombo District were 163 (Sinhala) and 159 (Tamil).
 
Looking at the overall results at St. Benedict’s College, 170 students (139 Sinhala and 31 Tamil) sat for the examination out of which, 108 students (88 Sinhala and 19 Tamil) obtained between 100 and 149 marks whiles 38 students (29 Sinhala and 9 Tamil) obtained marks between 150 to 181.
 
Our heartfelt congratulations to the students on their remarkable achievements and also our sincere thanks to Rev. Bro. Benedict Bonaventure – Principal for his leadership and guidance, the teachers in charge for their dedicated service and commitment, Old Benedictine and OBU Council Member Damitha Perera for his voluntary service in conducting special classes for the students.

Tamil Medium
Alosius Raj Kilinsmen Bexter – 176 Marks, Febin Jenoshan Sesurajah – 167 and J. Dericson Fernando – 160.
